Meet our team

Mrs. Amy Hanley

Founder & Director

A 1998 graduate of Clemson University, Mrs. Amy holds an MEd in cross-categorical special education. She was a 1996 graduate of Emmanuel University where she completed her Bachelor's of Science in Middle School Education. After many years in public education, Mrs. Amy left FCMS to homeschool her four children. Along with a friend, she developed a program to join the best of classical education with the best of home education thereby creating a hybrid model that we now call Faithful Springs.

Amy and her husband Bobby reside in Carnesville where they also farm and enjoy spending time with their children.

Isaiah 43:19

"Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

Mr. Bobby Hanley

Co-founder

As a 1995 graduate of Southern Tech in Marietta, now Kennesaw State University, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. After many years of work as a civil engineer for county government, I left the public office to enjoy landscaping and growing Bermuda grass. Farming has long been a love of mine, and I am grateful for the Lord’s provision that allowed me to change careers and spend more time outside and with my family.

I enjoy teaching young people about math and science as I understand the contribution it can make to society. I enjoy preparing students, if desired, the opportunity to work in the math/science or engineering fields.  I am looking forward to having your student in class this year.

Mrs. Terry

Administrative Assistant

I am a child of God, and a mother by Grace. I'm the wife to a wonderful husband, Bryan, and mother to our precious son Bryttan, through the gift of adoption. With a heart built to nurture children in love, truth, and kindness, I've spent my life in the presence of children and their parents. I strive to be dependable, stepping up no matter the need. Finding joy in everything God has given me, I am truly rooted in faith, led by love, and always here to pour into the next generation.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Language Arts and Math

Love like Jesus! That’s my motto. We can deal with any obstacle we face if we face it while loving like Jesus. I have taught public school high school, middle school and elementary school in both general education and special education. After all of that, I wouldn’t want to teach anywhere other than Faithful Springs!!! I want each student to leave my classroom knowing they are loved, so deeply, by Jesus and by me!

I also have a wonderful husband Matt and an amazing son Samuel who graduated from Faithful Springs in 2024.

Mrs. Kim

I have been married to my husband, Darryl for 36 years. We have 3 grown children, 2 sons-in-law and 2 granddaughters. I have 24 years of experience in education in both homeschooling and private school settings. This will be my 5th year teaching at Faithful Springs, and I am excited to help other families with their homeschool journey.

In my classroom, I strive to create an environment where students can learn about the Lord, develop a love for learning, and are encouraged. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and reading.

Mrs. Olivia

Language Arts

With 3 years experience in the public and homeschool setting I am passionate about teaching and strive to never stop learning.
More importantly, I pray each child who enters this school can see and know the Joy of Christ’s Love. With a soft and welcoming classroom environment, I wish to encourage the many different gifts and learning personalities of my students.

Having a deep love for agriculture and the out of doors, when not at school I can be found out working my small dairy herd and ever growing bee yards. My hobbies include sewing, reading, cooking and Homesteading!

Mrs. Jillian

Hello, my name is Jillian McCannon. This is my second year at Faithful Springs, and it’s my twelfth year teaching private music lessons. I enjoy fostering a love of music in my students and giving them opportunities to understand how it works and enriches our lives.

Trinity Baptist is my home church where I serve on the praise team as a vocalist and as the choir director.

I’m blessed with a wonderful husband and son, and nothing brings me more joy than serving the Lord with my family!

Mrs. Brianne

I'm married to Michael and am a mother of ten--with 6 still living at home. Four of my children also attend Faith Springs Homeschool Support Group! I find joy in guiding young minds while embracing and sharing my love of Jesus.

We are active members of Living Hope Church in Athens, where we serve as home group leaders, as well as security and welcome team members.

Outside of teaching, I love traveling, reading, exploring new adventures, crafting, and thrifting. My goal is to inspire curiosity, creativity, a desire to learn, and to share the love of Jesus with each student I meet.

Mrs. Marie

I am looking forward to working at Faithful Springs Homeschool Support Group. I have 35 years of teaching experience with 30 years being in public education and 5 years in private Christian education. I am looking forward to continuing to be able to share my love for learning with the students I’m blessed to work with.

I am married to Doug and we have been married 39 years. We attend Middle River Baptist Church where my husband and I are actively involved in teaching children and teens about the love of Jesus on Sundays and Wednesdays. We have two beautiful daughters who are married to wonderful men. We also have 3 precious grandsons under the ages 3! My husband and I enjoy spending as much time as we can with our family! I’m excited about this next chapter in life that the Lord is allowing me to experience here at Faithful Springs helping students become life long learners.

Mrs. Amber

Science & History

My passion is helping students see how God’s truth weaves into every subject and guiding them to develop both knowledge and character rooted in Scripture. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, crafting, gardening & reading.
My prayer is that each student I teach will know, love, and serve Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. One of my favorite Bible verses is 1 Corinthians16:14 "Let all that you do be done in love", and I try to live it out daily with my students. I am a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where my family and I are actively involved, especially with kids' ministry. My husband and I have been married for 16 years, and we have two amazing kids who keep us laughing, learning, and constantly leaning on the Lord. My prayer is that every student who walks through my classroom leaves knowing more about the world God made—and more about the God who loves them deeply.

Pastor Ben

Apologetics

Pastor Ben has served at Trinity since 2012 and are extremely excited about what God is doing in the hearts of lives of the families at Trinity AND what they believe He will continue to do in the future. Pastor Ben is a graduate of Truett-McConnell College, Shorter University, Luther Rice University (Masters), and Anderson University (Masters of Divinity).

He and his wife, Joni were both born and raised in Madison County and have 4 children: Titus, Sadie Brook, Scarlett and Selah. Ben and Joni’s ultimate passion is to keep Christ at the center of their home, lead their children to walk in God’s calling, and come alongside families to help them do the same.

He enjoys running, fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Ben would love the opportunity to get to know your family and have the opportunity to minister to each of them at Trinity.
