Student Expectations

Faithful Springs Code of Conduct 2025-2026

This is a general guideline of what is expected from each Bridgeway student and his/her parents.

Student Readiness:

Faithful Springs classes are group activities. Please consider your child's readiness for group activities and the necessary social interaction before signing him/her up for these classes.

Respecting Church Property:

We are thankful that Faithful Springs is allowed to meet here on this campus. In order to continue using these facilities we must all use our good manners and ~

  • Keep the building, furniture, and school-owned materials in good condition.
  • Keep restrooms neat and clean.
  • Consume all food and drinks in the Cafeteria only. No food, gum, or drinks in classrooms.
  • Be polite and respectful to all church and school staff.
  • Use quiet voices when walking in hallways between classes. Do not run inside any building.
  • Do not enter rooms or areas that Bridgeway does not use.
  • When dropping off and picking up students, use the designated drop- off/pick-up door.

Expected Student Behaviors:

●      BE KIND:

Treat ALL people and property with respect, courtesy, consideration, and compassion. Teasing, bullying (including physical, verbal, and cyber bullying), name-calling, fighting, cursing, insulting, threatening, using the Lord’s name in vain, and using inappropriate bodily gestures are prohibited. Refrain from gossiping about other students, teachers, or school matters on social media, including - but not limited to - Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and Twitter. Do not use images of the school, students, or teachers on social media without prior written consent of each person. Do not use the names of the school, students, or teachers negatively in online memes, tweets, blogs, posts, photos, or comments.

       BE RESPONSIBLE:

Label your backpacks, binders & notebooks, and lunch bags for easy identification. Bring your own lunch with your name printed on the outside of the bag in permanent marker. Place your food and drink items in the designated refrigerator yourself during check-in time, before the start of the school day. For traffic safety, go straight from your parents’ car to the cafeteria for devotion. Stay in each of your classrooms until the teacher dismisses you at the end of class. Bring your own basic school supplies (pencil, paper, necessary books, etc.) to class. Keep all your personal items with you as you move from class to class.

        BE RESPECTFUL:

Keep your hands and feet to yourself. Do not touch other people inappropriately. No romantic behavior or romantic touching is permitted. No physical or sexual harassment will be tolerated. Use good manners when speaking. Clean up after yourself in the classroom, the restroom, at lunch, and at recess. Arrive on time, 10-15 minutes before the school day begins at 9am.

 ●        BE MODEST:

In order to foster an atmosphere of learning without distraction, please adhere to the Bridgeway dress code. Wear properly fitted jeans, shirts, shorts, dresses, or skirts. The latter three must reach no higher than mid-thigh. Leggings are permitted, but they must be worn with a shirt or tunic that reaches no higher than mid-thigh. No tank tops, spaghetti straps, midriff shirts should be worn. Clothing must cover cracks, and cleavage when standing, sitting, and bending over. Underwear must not be visible above pants.

Do not wear clothes with inappropriate words, symbols, groups, or characters on them. No cross-dressing is permitted. If a student comes to school in clothing that violates these modesty standards, he or she will have to change into appropriate clothes before entering school. If the inappropriate clothing is not noticed by teachers before the parent leaves campus, Bridgeway will call the parent ASAP so parents can return with a change of clothing.

 ●        BE SAFE:

In order to protect everyone's eyes and ears, Faithful Springs has a zero-tolerance policy for personal electronics.  Please leave all personal electronics either at home or in your parent’s car. This includes cell phones, Ipods, tablets, laptops, MP3 players, handheld video games, and any other "screen." Bridgeway will not be responsible for any lost or damaged electronics.

Parents who have an EMERGENCY and need to reach their child during the class day may text or call Amy Hanley at 706-246-5196.  Please begin an emergency text with the word "Emergency!"

*    BE HEALTHY:

In order to protect everyone's health, Faithful Springs has a zero tolerance policy regarding alcohol, drugs of any kind (including over-the-counter, prescription drugs, and illicit drugs), tobacco products, and E-cigarettes, vapes, or vape supplies. If a student needs to take a dose of OTC or prescription medication while at school, the parent must walk into the school and give the medication - in its original packaging and labeled with the child’s name - to a teacher, along with specific dosing instructions. The medicine will be locked up in the office until it is time for it to be administered. Unused medications will only be returned to parents.

Faithful Springs owner and teachers reserve the right, if suspicions of contraband arise, to search any student backpacks, lunch bags, purses, jackets, and any other bag he or she brings to school. Two or more teachers will be involved in any search and the search will be video-taped. Contraband includes, but is not limited to, alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes and vape products, illicit, prescription, or OTC drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and pornographic materials.

*    BE SMART:

Students, do not bring any of the following real or toy items to Faithful Springs:  Firearms, knives, sling shots, lighters, matches, bows/arrows, martial arts weapons, handcuffs, darts, swords, tasers, spears, or any other real or toy weapon. Students must stay with their class and teacher, and not wander out of the room or building alone or unsupervised.

●      BE POSITIVE:

Be prompt for all class sessions and bring a positive attitude. Older students should be godly role models for younger students. Remember, we are representing and striving to honor Jesus Christ in all we say and do.

Faithful Springs is a Christian-based program. Behaviors must be reflective of the principles given in the Bible. In keeping with our Christian values, our teachers will only refer to students using pronouns of birth gender. Additionally, students are required to use only the restroom represented by birth gender. Any student who is willfully and/or habitually behaving in a way that is contrary to Biblical principles may be dismissed from Faithful Springs Homeschool Support Team.

●      BE HUMBLE (Corrective Policy):

No one is perfect. We all fall short sometimes and need discipline to bring us back into fellowship and good standing with others. Good discipline keeps a class running smoothly and prevents the wasting of everyone's valuable time. Except in the cases of extreme rule violation, which is subject to administration, our disciplinary policy is as follows:

  1.   First offense = verbal warning from teacher in the classroom, cafeteria, or playground.
  2.   Second offense = verbal warning from teacher in the classroom, cafeteria, or playground, plus the teacher will make a note of the behavior, which will be given to the parent at the end of the day.
  3. Third offense = discipline notice for parent to read and sign; a parent-teacher-student conference may be called to determine a corrective course of action.

The parent of a child who willfully causes damage to church property, teacher's property, or another student's property is expected to assume financial responsibility for costs associated with replacement or repairs and may face expulsion.

As much as we long to be the source of encouragement to all our students, there are times when a student refuses to accept corrections and continues to cause disruption. It is not in the best interest of the whole group at Faithful Springs to allow a few to cause continual strife. Therefore, if a student receives three discipline slips within a semester, he or she will need to have a meeting with parents and teachers to evaluate whether Faithful Springs is a good fit for them.

In the rare event that a behavior issue cannot be resolved, the student will be discharged from Faithful Springs. No refunds will be issued under such circumstances. The Faithful Springs administration  reserves the right to determine the course of disciplinary action, including expulsion for extreme rule violations. These extreme violations include, but are not limited to: harassment, physical violence, threats of violence, weapons brought to and/or used on campus or anything deemed by administrators to be physically, psychologically, or morally unhealthy to the students and teachers at Faithful Springs.
